Chettinadu Spicy Chicken Masala in Tamil
This chettinadu spicy chicken masala is undoubtedly one of the South Indians favourite and comfort chicken recipe. Seivathu eppadi endra Tamil video ingu inaikkapattullathu.
Chicken – 1 kg
Shallots – 1 cup
Chopped onion – 3/4 cup
Chopped ginger – 1 tbsp
Dry chilli – 10 to 12 ( to choice )
Coriander seeds – 2 tbsp
Fennel seeds – 1 tsp
Cumin seeds – 1 tsp
Black pepper – 3/4 tsp
Tomato – 1
Coconut milk – 3/4 cup
Mustard seed – 1 tsp
Cumin seed – 1/2 tsp
Curry, coriander leaves
1. Grind the ingredients given under ‘ To Grind ‘ with coconut milk. Set aside.
2. Heat 3 tbsp of oil in a kadai, add mustard seeds and cumin seeds in hot oil. When it starts splutter saute shallots, chopped onion, curry leaves, ginger, garlic till it turns good texture.
3. Now add chicken pieces with sauteed ingredients and stir them on medium flame at least for 6 to 8 minutes without adding water. Within 5 minutes, water will have been released from chicken pieces. At that time add ground masala mixture, salt and very little water for pressure cooking.
4. Pressure cook the chicken mixture for 3 sounds or 10 minutes. If it is pot cooking it may take 15 minutes on high flame. Wait till the temperature of the cooker subsides and then open it. If there is any left over water with chicken, let it dry up.
