Urulai kizhangu varuval in Tamil – Potato stir fry – Aloo fry

Potato / aloo / urulai kizhangu – 4
Garam masala – 1/2 tsp
Chilli pdr – 1/2 tsp
Corn flour – 1 tsp
Chopped onion – 1
Mustard seed – 1 tsp
1. Boil potato pieces for 5 minutes. Within this time it gets cooked 50 % ( it is easy to get crispy outer layer by this method ). Remove it from hot water.
2. Now marinate half cooked potato pieces with garam masala, chilli pdr, corn flour, salt. After mixing it properly, let it sit for 30 minutes.
3. Heat a kadai with 3 tbsp of oil, crackle mustad seed, urad dal. Once it splutters add marinated aloo pieces, fry them for 8 to 10 minutes on medium flame.( no need to add water for cooking. )
4. Potato fry is ready to serve.
